Sean Choolburra


Sean Choolburra is one of the most versatile Aboriginal performers in Australia today. A proud Girramay, Kalkadoon, Pitta Pitta and Gugu Yalanji man who maintains and practices his cultural traditions. Sean is a dancer who found his feet in stand-up-comedy and has had a long 25+ year career in the entertainment industry. He was recently labelled the “Godfather” of Aboriginal Comedy. He is known for his wit, energetic delivery, improvisations and no-stop dance moves. Sean’s recent work includes hosting his own TV series, Express Yourself on NITV, a special guest on ABC’s Playschool and keep an eye out for him in the upcoming SBS series Black Comedy. 

Steph Tisdell


Steph Tisdell with her magnetic personality and hilarious sense of humour never fails to delight audiences. Only new to the comedy scene, she is making a fast rise as one of Australia’s funniest female Indigenous comedians. Best known for her bold, brassy stand-up routines about body image (owning you own size), relationships and split personalities.

​A proud Murri (Qld Aboriginal) women, who started doing comedy from a dare in a bar in Dublin while back-packing around the UK and parts of Europe. It didn’t take long for Steph to pursue a career in comedy and take out the National Title for the 2014 Deadly Funny’s.

Kevin Kropinyeri


Australia’s premier Aboriginal comedy star, Kevin Kropinyeri is a one-man whirlwind that will have you holding your sides laughing, as he shares tales of growing up, marriage and the particular, absurd challenges of life as an Aboriginal Australian family man.
A high-energy performer, Kevin is sharp, likeable, silly and measured; mixing keen observational stand up with joyfully ridiculous physical comedy. 

Appearing all over the country, including  remote communities, and is a bona fide star of the Indigenous performing arts, a regular feature on the mainstream corporate, club and festival circuits and a Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow regular.   

Black Cockatoo Dance Company


The Black Cockatoo Dance Company features some of the best dancers of mainland Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and Contemporary Dance Australia has to offer.

The group infuses Aboriginal song and dance with the drums of the Torres Strait Islands, creating a rhythmic and hypnotic atmosphere blending Torres Strait Island dances and the indescribable, haunting sounds of the world’s oldest instrument the Didgeridoo (Yigi-yigi).  

Black Cockatoo performed at Australia’s largest public and economic diplomacy program, "Savour Australia", opening events in both Chengdu and Chongqing, in southwest China and at the United Nations Indigenous Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues in New York.

Andy Saunders


From an early age Andy Saunders has been telling jokes in front of a variety of audiences, he was always destined to make people laugh. With an impressive and an extraordinary ability to use humour to break down barriers and stereotypes as well as provoke thought in any audience, Andy Saunders takes satire to new heights. Trenchant observations of human behaviour and sharp material combined with skills in attracting and holding the interest and attention of audiences of all ages are a powerful combination.

  Andy has most recently appeared on Channel 9’s “The Block” with his wife as team “Deb and Andy” and had his recent music parody “Deadly” going viral featuring his daughter singing the chorus.
